Humanist Life Stories

Welcome!

Welcome to the homepage of Humanist Life Stories.

Our mission is to enable humanists from all over the world to share their life stories.

Many of us often find it difficult to write or tell a personal story and imagine that there are many others like us. Some of us may even think that our stories are not interesting enough to be heard. But stories give meaning to our lives. They can help convey humanistic cultural values and norms, which we can share with others. This sharing can help inspire, encourage, and sometimes help someone through difficult times.

We would love to hear from you if you have a story to share that fits our current themes. You can see what we are looking for by clicking on the “Current Projects” tab on the left. You are also welcome to make suggestions for themes that you believe will be of interest to others.

We have just begun this project of collecting Humanist life stories and have published our first volume, in which six humanists describe what sustained them through a difficult time in their lives

Our organization, The Humanist Community in Silicon Valley (www.humanists.org) is a volunteer operated non-profit. It is with the support of our members and friends that we are able to provide the funds to print these books.

To order a book, click on the “Web Store” tab on the left bottom of the page. Any donation you make will help defray the cost of printing and postage.
